    1962 Grill Color?

I have read that the grill for 1962 corvettes were either finished in black anodized, gold anodized or gold anodized painted black could someone shed some light on this. Was the color difference based on supplier demand throughout the production year? What cars recieved what grills and did early cars get one and later cars get another???

According to JM, "62 Grille is black anodized, however gold anodizedgrilles ( either unpainted, or painted black ) may appear. Later manufactured service replacement grilles show increased amounts of metal flashing at rear edges of ribs, and modeast deductions are appropiate for these non-original flaws." Suggest if you don't already have one you purchase a Judging Manual, lots of answrs in there. Hope this helps
