was somewhere were a sales men for AMSOIL tried to tell me how great this product over every thing else on the market. is that stuff really any better.

I think you mean "salesman". Of course he claims his product is better than anything else on the market. What else would you expect him to say?
It's probably a good product, as are some of the other "boutique oils", but three times more expensive than what you can buy at Walmart that is just as good for 99.99 percent of vintage Corvette owners.
Didn't some guy write an article about all this in The Corvette Restorer a couple of year ago?

Better? No-the engines run just great on 'normal' oil.
Just as good as? Seems to be with the little (by comparison) data available.Comment
