It is time to replace the old Holley. Will the new Thunder series from Edelbrock fit as a replacement under the hood? Has anyone had experience with these units on a midyear (mine is 66)?

for what a new carb cost a good rebuilder can fix your holley to work- Top

Re: Edelbrock On A 427
that may seem to be the case but i haven't found the "good rebuilder".
it has been tuned, rejetted, readjusted and completely rebuilt - probably all of these several times. the last, guy rebuilt it, charged me and told me i needed a new carb!
the reason i was thinking of the thunder is that it seems to be newest design and gets reviews for being able to put on and run.- Top

unless the new carb has been calibrated for your engine you could have trouble. check the website here and there are posts of reputable carb rebuilders who will fix the holley right.that may seem to be the case but i haven't found the "good rebuilder".
