C! headlight bezel differences

I have a few different C1 headlight bezels here that were included with the parts I received with the 60 I aquired a few months back. One is part number 3742509 and the other is 3779239. What is the difference?

One thing I did note is that the area that curves back to meet the fender trim is shorter on the 3742509. I have three of the 3779239 and each one measures different to the fender trim.

The 1960 Assembly Instruction Manual only shows one part number, 3742509. Don't know why, but the part is called a "door"!

I did see that the AIM called out the 3742509. Maybe the other part number is a service replacement? Although the car I have is a one owner car with no records of changing the headlight "doors" and it had the 3779239 parts on it.

You can definitly see a construction difference between the two parts. I wonder if they changed part numbers mid stream in early 1960 as the car I have was built in May 1960.

The 3779239 is for a 61-62 Corvette per my old GM Corvette parts book. This should be painted the same color as the car. The 3742509 is for a 58-60 corvette and is chrome.
