    R & R Blue Vehicle Certification Label?

Is there a technique where I can remove and reinstall the blue lable inside the drivers door?

Mike, there was some talk the TDB on removing the label on C3'S, and the advice was to leave it alone, it will get destroyed when removing, if you painting your car, just tape it off carefully. The repros are not correct.

I removed the sticker from my '72 before it was painted, or I should say my wife did, she has more patience.

In a heated garage we used a hair dryer, holding it was my contribution, and heated it until the adhesive got soft and carefully peeled it off with a razor. It came off about 95% intact but there was still some damage.

It is currntly stored between two pices of glass. Not sure what to do with it now, I'm afraid of doing more damage trying to stick it back on. thats my experience, good luck!!

        Hi Mike,
As I read the AIM it looks like there were 2 parts; the lable and an 'overlay'. I don't know if that makes it easier or more difficult to remove and re-apply.
I looked at the possabilities and decided to leave it in place.
I taped it very carefully, the fellow who painted my car, (lacquer), kept the paint around the sticker to a minimum. When I un-taped it there was just a slight 'edge', so I used a little fine compound to remove it. I think the results were very good.
        Regards,
        Alan

I've tried to show the edges too.

Thanks, I will tape it off. Some things are better left alone.

              Hi Keith,
If I put the p.o.p. right next to the sticker and look at the print on the sticker compared to the p.o.p., it's just possible to to decipher the 3 letters. You can mainly see the top 1/3 to1/2 of them.
