Just stirring the pot

My restorer and Driveline arrived just now Weds. Feb 9th @ 5:15 Jarrahdale, Western Australia. I'm happy to have it and it doesn't bother me in the least that most others have had their copies for weeks now, or at least many days. I can visit the driveline on the web- so I don't feel too disadvantaged. Probably not to many of you haven't received them by now. Just thought I'd stir up the pot a bit.

Ray, we have been spared the flooding, and cyclones where I am, but a couple serious fires too close by (12 miles away) destroyed about 40 houses. Started with an angle grinder. Some not too clever person working on his trailer in his driveway, during total fire ban, high winds, and temperatures in the high 90's. A few sparks in the grass and it was away. No loss of life but, a few firefighters injured. The weathers is perfect for a drive here now. I just try to avoid too many long stop lights. Everything running good, the old girl just doesn't tolerate the high temperatures down here to well when she has to stop for any length of time.

I left mine as original, on the left. I think there is some law that requires any import newer than 1968 to be converted to right hand drive to be like the rest of the autos down under. The year for required conversion used to be rolled on periodically but the ozy government has stopped that now. Apparently the law now only allows stock cars to be imported, no custom hotrods or modified vehicles allowed in anymore. Cheers
