    1960 Fuel Line Routing

I need some help. When I took my car (1960) apart, the fuel line at the rear was definitely not routed correctly. If anyone has pictures I would appreciate them either posted here or to my email (dharris45@aol.com).

I have included a scan of the AIM where it looks like the line simply routes around the rear body mound tab then up to the tank on the outside of the frame (Red arrows).

I also have pictures, thanks to Jerry Weeks, of a 1962 completed chassis. The fuel line on the 62 has a clip and screw on top of the frame at the rear body mount tab (see second picture).

I assume there must have been a change in either 61 or 62. Could someone please confirm that the AIM is correct?

    Thanks,
    Don

Thanks Jerry. both this and the other pictures of the finished frame you sent my show that the 62 fuel line goes up in front of, and over the rear body mount tab, and there is a clip screwed into the frame holding the line. My frame does not have the screw hole in the frame.

Any 58-60 restorers out there who can comment on the correct routing?

        Thanks,

Have you checked Section 8 sheet 1 of the '60 AIM? It shows the line going around the body mount and the a union connecting to a pipe from the tank, if I'm reading it properly.

Yes, I actually attaced the AIM page above. I agree that is what it looks like. Just wanted some confirmation from someone rather than rely on a drawing that isn't exactly clear.

            Thanks,

Don, Here are some from the Feb built '59 I'm doing, with a before shot after I pulled the body. Body never off before. I'm pretty sure the same setup for '60.
