    64 cigar lighter socket

    Hello All!
Our 64 lighter socket is toast as one of the three tabs are broken and the ceramic base is cracked. As a result the lighter will not stay in and then when hot will not pop out on it's own. We ordered a replacement socket from a reputable aftermarket firm only to find that it is too large in diameter and will not recess into the dash. Is there anyone in the NCRS family specializing in original socket replacements with the three tabs?
    Any help appreciated.

    Re: 64 cigar lighter socket

Ralph, I bought several lighter sockets off Ebay, the size was wrong but one had a three prong retainer and I rebuilt my original with that. Also got Casco 63 NOS element to complete a 100 % functioning /correct lighter. Good hunting!

Drove the 64 over 5000 miles to three Regionals and the San Jose National, one dust storm and 40 lbs of bugs!
