    67 Brake Problem

Got a problem with pulling to left when brakes applied.....
( 67 non-power ) I assumed might be related to front rubber lines-- replaced with no effect . The old lines showed no evidence of any restriction. I bled the system ( DOT 4 )--- no evidence of any leak in lines or calipers. The problen could have begun with new Paragon calipers that sat a couple of years before installation ?? Anyway, is the right front caliper the obvious problem ? What else could cause this issue?

Ralph, old rubber lines deteriorate from the inside also. When they fail they collapse under hydraulic pressure, usually causing the vehicle to pull to one side. You would not see any restriction in one of these failed lines by just looking at it. However, this apparently was not your problem.

I am assuming that you feel the steering wheel pulling left, not the car moving left. You may have air in one of the calipers, or a piston may be frozen. Jack up one side at a time and have someone press the brake pedal. Try to turn the wheel. The one that turns is your problem, which will probably be the right one. It could also be the rear calipers or your master cylinder.

Thanks, Paul.... I did cut the old lines into small sections & found no evidence of any separation. Jacking one wheel at a time sounds like a good method...... I didn't think about a rear caliper causing the problem....
