    Big Block Temperature Sender

The Judging Guide (JG) says "all temperature sending units are natural brass with the wording "AC MADE IN USA 12 V" stamped upside down on the base under the hex part of the unit."

Mine says "AC MADE IN USA 12 VOLT." Close but no cigar or what? Is mine a service replacement? I have enclosed some pictures, but I don't know how well they captured the lettering in question.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention this:

    HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

I'd say yours is likely original, regardless of the "12 Volt" versus "12 V" stamping .

      Joe -

Your photos are too small to make out any detail - they're only 124x166; 640x480 works much better.

        Joe,
You made me go look. A couple years back I found the original to the 66 427 I had back in '78 in my tool box; and I have the original to the 66 I have now. Both say 12 VOLT.

Here's a link to a DB discussion a few years ago, with pics.
