    Early C3 wiper blades

Zip Corvettes is offering what they say are original reproductions of the wipers for early C3s with brass tubing, not rubber, for the washer arm.

Has anyone bought these? If so how would they judge? Trying to find originals is a task to say the least. I am posting a link, but it is no help in determining the originality of the part, the picture is vague. Some one who actually bought them may be able to offer some opinion. Product number is WW-364 Thanks,

    Ken

The original washer tube was NOT rubber.

I think the reproductions are made by Keen Products. At least I worked with Tom on a reproduction he makes. I doubt there is room in the market for two manufacturers.

      Terry,

I know the originals were brass/copper tubing. I lost mine during a restoration. I got really nice shiny new stainless ones with rubber pipes.
That's why I was so interested in the repro of them.

Ken they like Terry stated are most likely made by Keen a lot of judges had input on these arms. They are very close to the originals but there are some differences. I do not remember what the differences are right now but they are the best that you can buy other then a set of brand new originals or excellent used ones.

Thanks. Although I am the original owner, (AKA Pain In The Ass). When I had the car painted and gussied up, it was still just my old vette that I drove everywhere for decades. I did not tell the shop to retain and give me back all of my parts.

I never realized how much was lost, never knew how important it was to keep everything! The NCRS is such a wonderful organization. It has inspired me to chase so many original parts and put my car back to what it once was.

I not only enjoy driving my car, but now I work on all the little things that make it special. It has become a really fun hobby and I have met so many wonderful people who love these cars.

Just my rant over wiper blades.

Another vote that they are Tom's reproductions. Very good ones at that! A couple minor differences that I can recall, however difficult to judge without a mirror and knowledge of the originals appearance. The base plate on the under side has a difference in configuration and the rivet size on the sides of the arms are a little bit larger then factory originals. I did it now, gave the judges something to deduct a point or two on.
