vacuum advance line clips

On a 1971, 454 with a Rochester carb, what color should the 2 vacuum advance line clips that hold the steel tube in place be painted? The tube runs from the TCS solenoid, to a little before the distributor. I'm thinking orange?? I read a previous thread, but it was in reference to a C2...wondering if it would be the same.

I believe you are correct. The clips on my December '70 built LS5 car are Chevy engine orange. Regards, Jim

On my 71 LS-5 the clips are Chevrolet Orange.

Yep, as others indicate the clips were installed/present when the engine was assembled & painted...
