Re: 66 fs on the flee!
a friend of mine told me the said story at Carlisle when he tried to sell it for him. story goes as a guy wanted a resto mod 66. so he goes out and buys a car. then took it home and started to tear it down. then losses his high paying job. in order to help pay bills starts selling all the parts from the car. then had to sell the car. why the guy bought a complete high dollar car to build a resto mod is a mystery to me.- Top

Re: 66 fs on the flee!
Probably was his first and did not know a lot, nor shop around. Questionable how you'd sell the motor and now not know where it went, especially if it was the real deal. Something tells me he found out it was not a real 427 car too.
Now its a resto mod
I'd like to get one fubar'd and sneak in a couple of small buckets in the back so I can take the kids cruising! Oh well they just tell me to get a Stang. Oops did I say that? Maybe John will loan me his Z for the weekends
Got to have fun once in a while too!- Top

Re: 66 fs on the flee!
I lived in Fallston, MD for 34 years, and I don't know the owner, nor do I recognize the car.
Odd story...... a true waste of money.
Why destroy an original car to make a resto-mod when there are so many project cars out there already?
