    Tom,

Very nice bracket. The clutch heads sure look like they belong. No doubt that clutch heads would be consistent with what we would expect to see in the interior.

    Bruce,

I'm also a fan of the PS wheels. Steve says to go straight south to see your '62. How far south of the NW corner of Ohio are you?

    Steve,

Got my vacation set for labor Day weekend plus some. Thinking about adding a few days and taking the whole week before the auction.

Bruce, Very nice job on the 62! Love those "velocity stacks".....that what I used to call 'em when I was a kid making model drag cars.

        Tom,
With you being in the NE corner of Ohio and me being in the SW corner we are pretty much the maximum distance from each other while living in Ohio, about 300+ miles.
You are welcome to stop by anytime.

That is a little far for a Sunday afternoon drive.

              Tom,

We finally got the Hilborn all wired up and on the first try it started.
Scared the hell out of me.
Still needs a lot of tuning. It idles at around 2000 rpm so I have to adjust the throttle plates to cut off more air. Then start on the mixture adjusting. It sure is interesting.
              But it is running.

Great Bruce! If you need a contact sometime I know a fellow who is running a Hilborn about 60 minutes west of you.

The Hilborn is ready to start.
I have gone through 3 computers which would not work properly and I recently got a different ECU and realy box setup from the builder which should take care of the previous problems. I had to rewire the whole system which was no big deal and hope to start the car next week. It has been making me crazy but I will get it running.
I hope to drive the car to the Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, KY in June. I know a lot of guys from OK will be there.
I have attached some pictures, notice no fuel rails, hidden TPS and sort of inconspictuous injectors.
By the way, thanks for asking.

                  Bruce,

The car and Hilborn looks good. There appears to be a large number from OKlahoma going to attend the Bowling Green event. Some of the people from Cincinnati to attend include Bill Connnell, Joel Lauman and Dale Maris. Below are a couple of pictures from last year's event plus other pictures of the car we will have there. Its the 1967 & 68 NHRA Top Fuel World Champion. Look forward to seeing you. If you want some free nitro we'll have some for you.

                  Regards
                  John Neas

Thanks for the comments and info.
Dale Maris helped me get the Hilborn started today.
It is an interesting system and should run great.
Look forward to seeing you at the BG Hot Rod reunion.

Well, we'll be crossing paths then. I'll be on my way back to OK from Chevellabration.

                              Jim,
I would REALLY love to go to a Cackle fest! But I've already committted to attending Chevellebration, which I've been going to for the past 11yrs.
Also, since I still have a full time job (at least for 9 more months ), it is difficult to get off for multiple periods of several days at a time. We just returned from 2wks in Ireland and then I'll be gone for 1wk in June to CB11.
My next extended time off will probably be in Dec. I plan to take terminal leave for most of Dec before retiring.
And last, when it comes to choosing between a Chevelle event and a Vette event, the Chevelles take priority.

Tom, I hope you had a great time in Ireland. I lived there for a couple of years back in teh mid 80's. Cold, rain a lot, but a beautiful place. The Bowling Green also has a nostalgic race with some of the old type of cars from the old days. We raced a supercharged gas car in the late 60' - 70's. Lots of show and shine cars as well. Really enjoyed this event for the past several years. You get racing, Crackle Fest and lots of cars all at one time. I also understand, John Neas, may be able to better qualify, the Nationals in Indy this year will have a great Cackler Fest as well. Maybe you can be retired by then and come along?
