Would like to help Jerry, but to be honest, I'm not sure what the "rear console" is?

Jerry, SEM Trim Black works very well for the rear console or parking brake console as some call it. I used this to touch up some scratches and nicks and it matched almost perfectly.

Oh, OK, I wasn't thinking of the brake console as a "console". Would you spray that trim black on the vinyl covered console? I guess I was thinking the trim black would be used on plastic or metal parts?

Jim, that is a good question. I do not have the answer. I've only used the SEM Trim Black on the rear console and kick panels. There may be an answer in the archives as that is where I found out about using it for the rear console.

Living near a large city (Chicago) I was able to find a small local industrial supply house that would sell to someone off the street. I had to use google search and the local phone books to find one. You may be able to find a source on line.

You can usually find SEM Trim Black and SEM vinyl/plastic paint at automotive paint supply stores, try SEM Satin or Classic Black. Preperation is the key thing, wash with lots of hot soapy water, degreaser and prime with SEM Vinyl Prep first.
