Redline tires for 1966

I looked in the 1966 NCRS Judging manual and in Noland Adams' Restoration Guide and both do not show redline tires as being an option from the factory. Yet several of my friends maintain that they were available on 1966 Corvettes. Other than perhaps being a dealer add on,can anyone shed any validity to their arguments?

They were not available on 66. They didn't become available till 67

For 1966 model year you need goldlines. Suggest Kelsey Tire.....they have excellent Goodyear reproduction bias ply tires that judge well. If you want radials, consider Diamondback.
