      Re: kissimmmee regional 2012

I will take the Winter in Florida any time. I was at Bloomington in Obamaburg IL on the golf course, in 2009. It was so darn hot that it cracked the original Black Paint on My Bowtie 65 Fueler. The paint was
near perfect prior to that. I had always kept it inside since new.
The Florida guys seem to really have their act together. I hope that
they can continue as in the past.

And then there was the Bloomington, about '87 or '88, when the temps exceeded 105 degrees. I will take my chances on it being cold in FL in January. I can put on enough clothes to get warm, but cannot take enough to get cool. And I do not want to even think about that picture either

As far as a swap meet at Bloomington Gold, it has become a joke! Yes, the best swap meet in the country has become a joke!
The certification at Bloomington Gold used to be just that, the gold standard among the Corvette hobby. Not anymore!
All those folks care about is the auction. Owned by an auctioneer we saw that coming.

PS. Long live the Florida NCRS meet in January! Best swap meet in the NCRS and only second to Carlisle. Gaining fast on Carlisle also!

I love Bloomington Gold but I share your opinion that the hot summer sun is not too kind to old lacquer paint. Since your cars paint is no longer pristine, I will be happy to take it off your hands

It is a great BLACK / BLACK coupe Steve.

Ken, it is too bad you did not come in 2010 . We had Chamber of Commerce weather after a tornado blew thru on Wednesday. 75 degrees, with puffy white clouds in the beautiful blue sky, 35% humidity. It rained hard on Sunday however for the rusty metal SURVIVOR cars, but I was driving home by then.
