I have been reading the previous posts about adding a battery disconnect and am wondering how to do it and still follow the judging guide. My 62 judging guide says that I should have spring clips on my battery terminals, yet to use a disconnect I would have to cut one off. Is there a best practice? Thanks for any guidance.

Some of the battery disconnects are made with a fake "post" as shown on the right side of the unit below (ignore label of manufacture for the point of discussion.I have been reading the previous posts about adding a battery disconnect and am wondering how to do it and still follow the judging guide.
