    Original 775-15 Blackwalls

What 775-15 Blackwall Tires would be the closest in dimensions and appearance to the original 777-15 tires available on a 1966 C2?

I would say the Goodyear Power Cushion 775-15 blackwall reproduction tire available from Kelsey Tire.

I have one NOS Goodyear tire that I bought at a swap meet in the 1980's with the following markings:
"7.75-15", "Load Range B", "All Weather IV", "Nylon Cord", "4 Ply", and "Tubeless". The whitewall width measure about 0.55". I have it mounted on a 1966 Corvette 15 X 5 1/2" steel wheel and I use it as a spare. It still has zero miles on it. It actually fits in the spare tire tub. However, I do not think that it was the original tire type that was installed on the 1966 Corvette assembly line.

I can assure you that it was not.
