    '72 Fuel line clips

I just finished putting new fuel lines on my car, with the body on (UGGGH!!!). I ordered a fuel line clip set from one of the known vendors and found that the clips that hold the vent line on the drivers side do not fit properly.

Specifically I'm speaking of the three that hold the line down over the rear wheel and the one that holds the very front near the charcoal canister. The line is 5/16" diameter and the clips supplied are 3/8" with a number 6 on them.

After further review I also found thet the clips for the brake line that follows the front crossmember is a different size than what is supplied as well.

I checked and it doesn't appear that anyone sells the correct ones. Does anyone know of someone that sells the proper size clips?? Thanks!!

Lynn the best clips are the original ones off your car if in good condition. Or finding good used ones at swap meets, venders that sell originals or even ebay it can be done if you look and spend the time. Other then that you would then have to live with the restoration kits. Or find them through automotive replacement parts catalogs individually. Sorry but in a lot of cases that is the best route for doing a quality resto.

You might want to contact Richard Fortier hope I spelled correctly he advertises in the Drive Line selling original bolts and other parts he could be a source for you.

I had some originals replated, as I found the same problem. I keep all the old clips I remove just for this reason.

Had a feeling that was going to be the answer. I'll have to dig out the old ones. They were zinc, correct? Thanks!!
