Engine is currently out of the car and body is on frame. Would it be best to apply the final coat of paint (primer has been applied) before or after the engine is installed? Thanks.

That's your call. Remember, these items were painted separately and then assembled at St. Louis. So, if you shoot exterior color and get the SLIGHTEST bit of overspray on either the frame or the engine, it should generate deduction(s)...- Top

If you paint it with engine out you're running the risk of damaging the paint when you re-install the engine. You will also spend a lot of time leaning on the fresh paint to put the engine on the mounts, line up the transmission, and hook everything up.- Top
