I'm going crazy trying to get my driver side vent glass to fit correctly in the frame. I'm replacing the vent regulators, and the reason I think the driver's side regulator was bad is because in order to get the glass to seat you had to crank the regulator hard which stripped out the gears. Anyway, I'm tring to solve that problem, and have bent the pivot pin a hundred different ways and this (picture) is the closest I can get to the vent sealing flat in the frame. I end up with the lower front corner and the upper rear corner sticking out. THe picture shows how the lower rear is seated, but the upper rear is out. What adjustment am I missing? I've spent faaaaaarrrrr to many hours on this and am just plain frustrated! Thanks!

Re: 63 vent glass adjustment help
is it possible that you or someone else has used the thick packing tape between the glass and the frame? this would make the glass stick out an 1/8" or so and mess you up, also, the window run is not adjustable where it mounts to bottom of the frame, but the top has a little bend to it, [ see pic ], between that and tweeking the post,as you allready have, i normally can get them to fit, it is possible that the post is welded in the wrong position, good luckAttached Files- Top

Re: 63 vent glass adjustment help
Erik, Did you take a trial run with the glass in place, by cranking it open and shut with the frame out of car? My 63 vent window assy's are out of the car and both work properly when open or closed. I think that this maybe the test you may want to try, but requires the removel of the frame again.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
