    Vacumm routing diagram for C2

I have a 1964 327/300 with air/power brakes/and powerglide...any chance of finding a vacuum routing diagram for that? I have looked in assembly manual and other reference materials and its not clear what the routing was with these options, thanks, John Lyle 865-389-1837

I think the only reference is what you have found in the assy manual, but it isn't easy, as you have C-60-A 2.00 and C 2.00 as well as E 6.00 (all in the C-60 section and then the J 50 section sheet 3 on the bottom and M-35 Sheet 8.00 to contend with. Essentially they all connect thru what appears to be a three way vacuum port in the intake manifold at the back of the carburetor. I once owned a '65 with the same setup, I can feel your pain.

      John,

You should find the AC vacuum hose routing in the C60 section of your AIM. For a 66 it is C60 E5 and E6. For PG and PB the vacuum source on the intake manifold will be a 3 port fitting I believe.

I'm not aware of any complete vacuum line schematics for that era, but thoroughly check the 1963 Corvette Shop Manual and '64 Supplement for information.

Also, you should be able to piece together a complete vacuum line schematic by carefully analyzing the information in the base and appropriate option sections of the AIM. Those are the instructions they used to assemble the car, and (I assume) everything worked at the end of the assembly line.

It might take some detective work. For example there may be differences between C60 with manual and Powerglide transmissions. That information should be in the AIM, but it may not be obvious.

On thing for sure - figuring out the complete vacuum line schematic for a high-option '64 should be easier than later emission controlled cars because of the latter's much greater incidence of vacuum lines to run all the emission control devices.
