    John,

I hadn't thought of Ops at all. Good catch! This makes it clear to me that Ops, Chassis and Exterior teams all need to check with one another whenever judging a side-pipe mid-year.

It will be very interesting when Bill W. reports back on this score from the Joplin regional to see what his total deduct was.

Yes on the first question. No on the second. The side exhaust components are not judged in terms of anything once it's been determined to be not original.

Thank you Gary, I've gathered that configuration deducts will also apply for items butchered during the installation of the "added" options.

Let's not forget the seals on the splash shields.

Been there, done that, 180 points.

            Keith,

Do you recall exactly where the 180 points were deducted in specific? I can find roughly 1/2 that total when I look thru the judging sheets.

100 to 125 or maybe a little more, depending on how perceptive the judges are. Think about a "ops" judge doing a quick check for added sidepipes before he checks the exhaust note?

Yeah but, a team leader must sign off on a total deduct, I believe he should bring it to the attn of the other teams, JMHO?

Normally that does happen once the team leader is involved, at least in the teams I've worked with.

Sorry I trashed the sheets, a ncrs friend of mine did send me an email that is more like 190 pts when you figure the wrong rockers, no heat shields, wrong exhaust, wrong exhaust panel, no seals on splash sheilds, no exhaust tips, etc.
