    Alt Brace bolt ID

    I am trying to confirm the correct bolt to use: can someone comment on the correct bolt I would need for 68' L68 w PS that connects the lower threaded hole on the alt with the adjustable bracket?

    Grade 2 or 5?
    Zinc?
    Particular headmarkings?
    5/16 -18X1"?
    Lock wahser + star washer?

      Pat ,

      68 was the change over year from grade 2 to grade 5. The right bolts is 5/16-18x1" grade 5. preferred headmarking WB but many others used. 68 was also the chance over year from star washer to split ring lock washers.
