C7 2013 with split windows?? Is it true?

I was reading "Car and Driver" yesterday and saw a write up on the projections for the autos coming out for 2013. The C7 Corvette was stunningly sleek and sexy!

The rear end was pared down and it appears that all of them will be given the "grand sport" look of wider wheel wells. Also the quality of the interior will receive the upgrade it so needs. An improvement in the bucket seats should be on the top of the list. Unfortunately, no ones bucket is exactly alike!

Can anyone tell me if the "63 look" of split windows will be a reality?? Even further, does anyone know what the visability will be like thru that rear window?

It is a sharp looking car!! I may have to place my order for a RED one now.

Never say never, but don't count on the return of the split window !

Maybe they'll install the missing 63 RPO rear TV camera so you can see the cop following you!

        Valeria -

"Projections" is the key word; they have no idea what the car will look like. That's a 3-year-old concept that was built for the "Transformers" movie.

          John,
You have burst my bubble. The projection of that car (if you have seen the photos) is beyond words. Does anyone have an inside line to GM?

The C7 2013 car featured in "Car and Driver" is a winner. Somebody please tell GM!!

            Valeria,

Trust me; those at GM who know about the C7 are not going to say. Their job depends on it, and jobs are hard to come by now days.

We will see and hear teasers now and then, but those are not accidents. They are calculated to raise public awareness and are usually very carefully managed. Back when our old cars were new, PR was different, but that was then and this is now.

The best news is the investment in the Bowling Green Assembly plant that GM announced several weeks ago. That investment means the likelyhood of a C7 built at Bowling Green has increased.
            Terry
