During judging, I was advised that my wheel cover spinners are not properly indexed, or installed in the correct position relative to the valve stem cutout on the wheel cover. Unfortunately, I don't remember what the advice was on the correct index. Mine have the spinner blade facing the valve stem cutout which leads up to the words "Corvette". Nolan's book, p. 96, shows a wheel cover with the spinner indexed with the blade facing the value stem cutout that leads to the "C" in the word "Chevrolet". Is this the correct index? BTW - mine look exactly like the judging manual, p. 69 - which, apparently, must not be correct relative to index. Thanks!

Re: 1963 wheel cover spinner index
Erik,
Be advised that your exterior judge was full of crapola. There is no "correct" indexing on 63 (or other years) wheelcovers. If you had them indexed as shown in the judging manual and still took a deduct, next time appeal and tell your your judge to take it up the National Judging chair for the 63/4 class.
There are several threads in the archives if you are so inclined to look for them.
