Re: 69 correct alternator and brake booster
Have you tried John Pirkle (http://www.johnpirkle.com/) for the alternator? Also may want to try Don Briggs in Lighthouse Point, Fl. (954)480 6214 who was able to find a correct '78 alternator for me a number of years ago.- Top

Re: 69 correct alternator and brake booster
CSSB can furnish you a new MC and date it for you. They might also be able to furnish the booster. Most of the '69 alternators fall in the almost unobtainium parts catagory. Very pricey when you find them. Be aware that there some vendors that sell restamped units on fleabayDick Whittington- Top

If you need an 1100825 alternator, I don't think that even John Pirkle will be able to find you one of ANY date. It never hurts to ask, though.
If you need any other 1969 alternator, it will be nearly as difficult. 1969 alternators are one of the most difficult to find of all Corvette alternators. It's not just a matter of "numbers", either. The drive end case configuration was unique to 1969-E1970 and the split ring end case configuration was unique to 1969 only.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 69 correct alternator and brake booster
Joe and others will confirm, but from my spec guide it appears you'd need 1100833 0r 1100825 if you have K66 TI. I'm not knowledgeable enough on the early C3 engines to know if TI was an option for your 427/390. The difference in the two alternators is the first is a 42 amp and the latter a 61 amp.- Top

Re: 69 correct alternator and brake booster
Patrick------
This alternator has the 1969-correct split ring end case half. As far as the drive end case half, I can't tell from the picture. 1969 drive end case had SIX ribs. Sometime in 1970 this changed to a FIVE rib case. From what I can see of the drive end case, this looks to me like a five rib case (the five rib case has somewhat wider ribs than the six rib and these look like the wider ribs to me, but that doesn't mean they are). IF it is a 5 rib case, then it's not correct for 1969. I'd get that point straight before I'd consider buying this alternator. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
