The right side stop/turn signal light is not working
Both (left and right) tail lights work
Left side brake/turn signal element works
I've disconneted the rear harness under the dash and tested the right side wiring to the rear, it's good. What I did was clip the two right side wires (tail light and brake/turn signal wires) then tested continuity at the block under the dash. So I'm certain the wires are good. It isn't the bulb or housing as I also tested with a volt meter and the brake/turn signal wire is not getting any power.
I just got the car, so the only manual I have so far is the AIM. Looking at the wiring section of the AIM it looks like the brake light switch wiring goes through the turn signal switch. I have not checked continuity from the under dash block to the turn signal switch yet, but if it is good, what are the odds that my turn signal switch is bad?
Any other troubleshooting suggestions before I spend $50 for a new switch?
Thanks,
Don
