    HELP NEEDED Windshield Photo

    I was hoping there may be someone with a Mid-Year Roadster, preferbably a '66 that could send me a photo. I have a minor leak at the lower corner passenger side windshield ( I think ). At this time I don't want to tear the windshield trim off and I completely forget what it looks like underneath. ( must be old age ! ) If someone has their trim already removed with windshield in and could shoot a close up of that lower corner and e-mail it to me it would be most appreciated.
    I have laid in the car and wife, hose in hand, pouring water over the corner and one time it will drip and the next it will not. I guess glovebox removal is next to try and find source. A photo will save a great deal of time for reference purposes. Thank You

    Hey. Don..I can't help you with the pic..but I can help you find the leak..mix up some dish soap in a spray bottle or just in a cup..start the car roll up the windows and turn the blower on high..pour the mix where you think the leak is and it should bubble..the leak guy at work does it with small leaks all the time..makes it easy to find..just rinse off the soap when your done..avoid dawn or heavy soap since it will remove wax..cheap bubble blowing soap works great..

      I've got trim off, but no windshield installed if that helps at all.

          Let me see if I've got this right - you have a leak at the bottom of the psgr side of the windshield of a 45 year old car and you want to determine where the leak is without removing the windshield trim?
          When you find the leak, please let me know how you are going to fix it without removing the windshield trim? As in the case of Nimitz's message to Halsey looking for his battleshipships in the Leyte Gulf battle, "The World Wonders...."

            Thanks to All;
            Rich, I'll give the dish soap idea a try, might just work.
            Wayne, thanks for the photos, I'll copy and save for reference.
            Scott, thanks for the offer and if you could shoot me a nice close up of the lower corner and e-mail it to me , I'd appreciate it.
            Loren..What can I say other than "I did not want to take it off at this point", but thanks for your imput.
            Again, Thank You

              Sent you these three photos. A problem area I had with my car is the inside corner areas were rusted through and I had to cut and weld in some new metal. I think the seal between the windshield frame and upper surround bonding strip goes bad which allows water to pool in these little box sections.

                Those words were misinterpreted. They were not part of the message.

                  Thanks Scott. I think that will do the trick. I think I can take it from there. When the windshield was out for replacement and new rubber a few years ago, the guy putting it back apparently did not get enough caulking/sealant within the rubber and I have this small drip. This does not happen all the time. When washing the car I'll lay a towel on the floor. Sometimes it is damp, other times dry. Go figure !
                  I'll try the dish soap idea. Then goes the glovebox, and if I can narrow the field, then the trim will come off for more caulking/ sealant.
                  Thanks again everyone for all the help.
