I don't recall seeing a US warranty when my 73 was delivered. I still have all my paper work.

Don't know about Corvette, but '69 Camaros sold new in Canada got unique books when they were built at the U.S. assembly plant; the Owner's Manual was issued by GM of Canada, and the Owner Protection Plan booklet was bi-lingual, also issued by GM of Canada.

My 67 corvette was sold new in Canada and it had a bi-lingual warrantee book with a plastic, not metal, protecto-plate. This POP had just the owners name, the VIN and the import number. It lacked the engine, transmission and rear end codes found on US metal POPs.

Of the variety of US-built cars bought new in Canada over the decades within my family, I've only seen the Canadian booklets. No US stuff included.

            Patrick -

Photo below is a Canada plastic P-O-P card for a '67 Camaro; they were produced at GM of Canada-Oshawa and mailed to the dealer after the car was received by the dealer and sold.

JF --- I assume you are talking about a 1969 model. Looking at my few microfiche copies of C3's for Canadian deliveries, I see ZQ7 appearing only on 1969's and 1970's; (not on '68s or '72s). I don't have examples for '71's.

Are are you getting the description "Canadian warranty booklet" off a sheet provided for that particular car by GM Canada Vintage [George Zapora] ? Is W84 also there, and, if so, how is it described ?

I bought at '72 new in Dec '71 from a Toronto dealer and I got NADA /ZIP /RIEN, other than the owner's card which I had to send in for (1st big pic, below). When I took the car in for service, they filled in the VIN by hand. I complained that there was no owners manual, and they gave me a '71 to shut me up. Finally got the proper '72 manual a few months later. In retrospect, it was a dealer from hell (Gorries), but I was green; my first new car.

2nd pic is of the GM Canada microfiche for VIN 8196 (middle rows).

John: That is the same kind of POP that came with my 67 Corvette. The FC-------- number is what I believe is an import number, and it is also referenced on the monthly import listings that were pictured in some of the responses.

I believe FCO on Canadian P-O-P's refers to Factory Car Order.
