    Braided spark plug wire

Does any vendor sell individual braided spark plug wires? One of my 1-Q-70 7MM wires burned in two at the spark plug boot. I was able to repair it but it now sits tight across my right valve cover. I tried switching them but it is too short on either side and I can't see spending over $100 for a new set. Where do I find the gray plug boots?

    Thanks,

Is the one pictured below the same? If so I may have 1 or 2 laying around.

Jim, that would certainly help as I boogered up the spark plug boot trying to get that sucker off the plug. Not a lot of wiggle room in an LS-5 engine bay. If you have one or two you will sell shoot me a price and shipping to 76014. Thanks!

May take a week to ten days to get them though,as I'm in Australia.

You're a good man, Jim. Got both spark plug boots and look great. Much improvement over my Super Glued boots. How much do I owe you and how do I pay you?

          Thanks,

That is mighty kind of you. Let me know if you are looking for parts for your '69. I look for Corvette parts for people, mostly C-3s.

                Thanks again,
                Scott

you can install the braid over any bare plug wire as that is the way i replaced them. just remove and then reinstall the dist terminal end

Thanks, Clem. My plug wires are the reproduction dated ones (1-Q-70). The one that burned in two right at the spark plug boot was already just long enough to not rest on the valve cover. When I had to cut back just 1/2" of the wire to re-attach the spark plug end it is now so short it rests tightly across the valve cover. I have got to pull back the braid and carefully splice in a short section of donor plug wire so that the date code shows at the end and then re-braid it. I think. Somehow.
