    MID_'70's FRAME DATE

I haven't removed body from frame yet, but did pull the splash shield to get a better look. I didn't have much luck in finding the frame stencil. Curious as to those who did, how far was the frame date from assembly date?

    Re: MID_'70's FRAME DATE

    Rich,

Don't know much about the 70's era frame manufacturing process. For C1's the frame stencil number was a job lot / batch number. The batch number was associated with a Chevrolet order for another 2,000 frames. Stencil date was the date the frame was assembled during the manufacturing run of that particular batch order.

Hopefully, some of the more knowledgeable C3 guys will respond.
