Trunk Mat and Liner Color for Late 1956

Guys, I am wanting to purchase a trunk mat and a trunk liner for my late 1956 Corvette (August 13 or 14, 1956). I am not sure what color these parts are supposed to be. My car is Aztec Copper with a Beige cove and Beige interior. I think the trunk mat should be black but have no idea about the trunk liner (the cardboard panel that covers the trunk lid hinge towers). I did not see anything in the JM. Can anyone help me here? Thanks in advance!

hi brooks
i don't have a liner
but do have a very beat up trunk mat
it is black on one side
and red on the other!
it is very old and very brittle
and i'm thinking it must be original
judging manual states that these
were used in late '56
but starting point unknown
so....mine; 4166, most have been one of them.
anyone have an earlier '56 with red/black mat?

Page 27 in the JG says the division panel is the same color as the trunk color, and the chart on page 102 says the panel is beige with a beige interior (which is the trunk color).

Black mat with beige liner. The late production doesn't matter in this case. The same colors and guidelines applied for the '57. The beige paint should be carefully applied so to not make it to perfect. Should be misted on not heavy.

As John and Garry point out, 5th Edition JM pages 27, 28 and 29 provide a good description of trunk division panel and trunk mat colors and information. Plus the '56 paint color combinations charts on page 101 and 102. Gary....
