    Re: Hypothetical Question

My prom date in my senior year of high school her dad had a 64 or 65 convertible with a white top..he said we could take it to prom night..well it never happened since his crazy dog went nuts a few nights before in a thunder storm and ate the top and the seats and some of the wires under the dash..beautiful car..we ended up going in my moms Corsica..I missed out on that one..still wonder every once in a while if he still has it..he did get it fixed not long after..put the dog in a kennel outside..

      Re: Hypothetical Question

I'm just luckier than all get out because we have managed to get nearly all the Corvettes that I have ever wanted. They may not be the exact hp or color that I might have dreamed of, but they are in my garage and what more could I ask for. We are far from rich, (I was an hourly paid surveyor) just the right place at the right time. (and a good investment counselor)
      -'57 2x4 3spd. white/silver/red eventually to be arctic blue/beige
-'61 350, 4spd, AC blk/slv/grey Wasn't going to keep this one but it was in such good shape mechanically I couldn't give it up. Drove it to Bowling Green in '09 and all of Route 66 on the way home. Will drive it to Novi next month. Great car.
-'65 396 4spd coupe, project. It was #2 on my list when we got it.
-'67 BB 4spd, side pipe convert. Old hot rod with small flares. RED! This would have been #1 on my list at the time.
-'69 350/300 hp 4 spd Ttop, Fathom Green/blk. My first Corvette and still my favorite body style.
-'72 350/400 hp 4 spd ttop autocross car, yellow/white. Big flares. The early sharks made the best looking race cars with flares.
-'88 35th Anniversary 4+3 Coupe. McCellan & Crossed Flags. I could do without this car. Wife bought it new.
-'91 ZR-1 Blk/gray w/silver stripe. Bought from original owner/friend. Always considered it the '57 Fuelie of the future.
-07 Ron Fellows Z06. Great car. Wife bought it new.

So what is missing? I'd like a new ZR1 to go with my old one, and ANY real race Corvette, vintage if possible, but money no object, a C6R.

If money's no object, I'll take one of each. If I can only have one, then it would have to be a driveable '67 435HP convertible. Yeah, it would be nice to own one of the 5 Grand Sports or one of the 2 ZL1's or one of the two ZR2 convertibles, or a '67 L88 convertible but those 'vettes are for showing, not driving, and I want to drive my 'vette.

          Thanks.

Jim, I only remember the important things. Now if I could find my car keys I could go to, uhhhh I forget.

Either Dr. Dick's '56 or the Dick Jess '56 - next to the Sebring cars, the cars that bought the people to the showroom on Monday and saved the Corvette.
