    ignition swith removal

How can I remove the ignition swith on my 62?
I have been told to insert paper clips in the two holes, but nothing happens.
    thanks

I believe that you have to insert your key. Turn to Accessory. Then insert the straightened paperclip into the hole in the face of the switch. Then the lock cylinder will come out of the housing in the dash.

Put the paper clip in the upper hole--turn counterclockwise as you push the paper clip in. You will feel the paper clip push against spring pressure--that's the time to turn counterclockwise.
