I remember that as part of a larger drawing of the headlamps, but I can't remember who posted it here either.Terry- Top

I have the rest of the print but there's not a lot of useful information on it. I can dig it out and post if necessary.- Top

Re: T-3 headlight date codes
Don`t know about the dates. But to say the originals are sensitive would be a grand understatement. I would defineately only use them for judging purposes. I would also only install them at the event. This may sound paranoid. But I have run through 2 sets. I believe that alredy as stated can cause them to quit. Also dang near any vibration. I have since just settled on the repop t3s- Top

Re: T-3 headlight date codes
I do not wish to pirate this thread, but I thought I would add some 7" 1957 questions into this mix as it is a good T3 thread. If you rather I start a new post I will.
My 57, which I have owned since 1971, has T3s that look almost identical to Lectric Limited sealed beam guide. The only difference I can see is at the top they have a 3 digit code molded it. One is;
D-15
TOP
12-V
other is;
K-41
TOP
12-V
The 3 digit code and TOP are molded into the glass. The 12-V appears to be on the inside of the glass.
By the way, they both work, but I have not left them on for more than a few seconds.
Is the 3 digit code a mold marking? If a date code, it does not make sense. I have not taken them out to look at the back side.
If these have any value for judging, I can make them available, as my car will not be judged. Either way I think I will remove them and install repops, as I don't trust them. -Dan-- Top

Re: T-3 headlight date codes
I very carefully removed both T3s from my 57 today. Rear marking at the top (stamp) is;
G
5400
12V *
4 7 2
Both are the same. If that decodes to April 2, 1957 - that would fit as my car has a birth date of May 21, 1957, or there about. Would the * be the shift?
Below the terminals and molded in the glass, one is;
G-55
TIC
The other is;
G-82
TIC
Any ideas on decoding this gobbly gook?
