Re: 1960 fender reinforcement
This is a piece medal that mounts under front fender and attaches to the (top fender moulding studs )and helps to reinforce top of fender when you are working on car as I understand they may have came on 58's but are recommended for 59 and 60's ?? if you want to strengthen top of fender- Top

Vette Products of Michigan was the reproducer of this strip. It is my understanding that they no longer manufacture this product and it seems that everyone that did stock them has exhausted their supplyDick Whittington- Top

Re: 1960 fender reinforcement
I bought a pair a few years ago to use on my '62. I got them from CC. They still list them under pt. #331214. They are heavy gauge metal bent into an "S" shape. They would not be hard to make except they have a slight radius toward the front end. If you look at the photos you will see what I mean. If they are not available I can post the dimensions.

Re: 1960 fender reinforcement
I put the Z braces from CC on my `62 and they sure helped when I leaned on the fenders to work on the engine compartment. I fastened them by tacking with a small amount of epoxy so they could be removed if wanted.- Top

Re: 1960 fender reinforcement
I thought they had holes that lined up with top fender moulding studs and used speed nuts that attached TFM,Michael- Top

Re: 1960 fender reinforcement
Here is a drawing with the dimensions of the reinforcement. The pieces are powdercoated and measure .080" . The closest gauge steel to that dim. is 14 Ga. ( .0747 ). I could not directly upload the drawing from my CAD program so I had to take a picture of it. I hope you can read it okay.
