I put magnetic drains plugs on my '61 & '65. I have tried the neoprene and copper gasket and oil still seeps from the plug. Anyone have a gasket that seals and where to get one? Thanks. Happy 4th

These seals are essentially the same as the GM #14090908. These are probably the best seals that GM ever offered for the drain plug application but they are, by no means, leak-proof.
GM has an improved sealing system which came along later. It uses a special "torque-limiting" drain plug with a special rubber seal which has controlled compression due to the "torque-limiting" plug. These can pretty much eliminate any seepage. Unfortunately, as far as I know they are only available in metric sizes. English sizes have been "orphaned" as far the OEM manufacturers are concerned. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I use just a tiny bit of ARP thread sealant and the annoying oil drain plug leaks go away.
