    C3 Ride Height

My '69 427 was originally equiped with an L71 with cast iron heads but now has aluminum L89 heads. The front height is even or perhaps slightly higher than the back. I believe the rear height is correct so I'm wondering if the alum heads could cause the front to be higher. I seen other 69's with a slight rake back to front which I prefer or simply lower overall. Would an L89 equipped car have different front springs than a standard L71? Does an F41 equipped car have a different ride height? Any way to adjust the front height without swapping out springs or other components?

    Thanks,

    Jack

1969 L-89 used the same front springs as L-71. There was undoubtedly a slight difference in ride height between the two but I would expect the difference to be quite minimal.

F-41 did have a different ride height and that height was a bit lower than standard suspension. There is no way to adjust ride height, particularly front ride height, without changing the springs.

      Re: C3 Ride Height

This subject has come up a couple of times in the last few months... mostly for C2's.

The answer is the same: Check your suspension ride height according to the spec's in your AIM. This wil tell you where you are relative to the original height.
