    White plastic AC filter routing

From the intake manifold vacuum port what was the factory routing of the hose with the white plastic AC filter? Behind the shielding box and along the firewall to the vacuum storage tank or straight across behind the carburetor toward the master cylinder? Same for small block and big block?

    Thanks,
    Scott Sims

On my 1970 it is behind the carb. The 68 is the same.

Thanks, Jim. A friend sent me a photo of his LS-5 engine sans the air cleaner and I noted the routing of the hose and plastic filter. When I asked him about it he said that he read that routing in the AIM for 1970 LS-5s. To my recollection every 1970 small and big block Corvette I have photographed and personally seen the routing was always behind the carburetor toward the master cylinder. I guess it doesn't matter if it accomplishes it's task.
