'69 L71 radiator

Anyone ever seen this before? It's a tag with number "267096" on the front of the radiator towards the bottom. There's no mention of it in the JG. The car was built 12/10/68, VIN 10255.

OE brass radiators typically have a metal tag that clips to the side tank flange. It includes the part number and production code. If the radiator is ever taken to the shop for repair the shop usually throws away the OE tag and installs their own tag with a number for warranty purposes.

I believe your tag is of the latter variety.

If one does have the OE tag, remove it before taking the radiator to a shop so you can reinstall it, and ask the shop to place their tag in an unobstrusive area.

Thanks Duke. I'm slightly dissapointed as I thought it might be some rare Harrison or St. Louis thing. The OE tag is still there though.

That's great that you still have the OE radiator tag. You can probably remove that radiator shop warranty tag. The warranty on the repair is probably long expired.
