I have had one cylinder (#4) that seems to not burn as clean as all the others. It had allot of carbon buildup after 2k miles to the point where it was missing, and all other plugs were near perfect. I recently did a complete tune-up and noticed that that plug again is still not clean as the other even after a few hundred miles..
I am going to do a compression test, but what I noticed using a plug/wire tester was a crossfire FROM wire #2 TO #4 at the #4 plug. I have the wires all routed correctly (I think) in the loom, and all shielding is in place.
I thought that a while back I read something about a possible crossfire issue and Chevy recommended something back in the 60's but can't find it.
I am using the correct type reproduction wires.
Any thoughts?
Thanks again,
Tony
