    Radiator support question

    Okay guys,
I am getting ready to pull mine out. 1 corner is rusted through at the top but not the bottom. Don` know if I can cut it out and replace the pieces without out it being noticeable. Is there a part number on these. If so, what years does it ru through.? Then the task of finding one begins.

    Steve,

I've had 2 of them repaired, but that was before there was a repro one. If you know a good welder have him look at it after it is sandblasted or dipped (had my mine dipped by the radiator shop). At least there is now a repro if yours is really bad.

Most supports can be repaired you need to have very good metal shaping skills and great welding skills. But with work you can save your original I do not know of a number stamped in the support but finding a great used one is very hard to do and the reproductions leave something do be desired.

      Just my 2 cents.

Paul, there is a new game in town on supports. I know that Keen Parts is selling them, so I have been told. The original GM tooling has now been scrapped. (800) 757-KEEN (5336)

No part number is usually stamped on original or GM SERVICE radiator supports. No GM SERVICE supports are currently available.

Thanks for the info have not heard or seen one that I know but may have with out knowing. Is the fit equal to GM originals that was always a problem with the other reproductions.

Should be equal Paul. I never had any problems with the other repros
