Vinnie, who is driving? Too bad they don't have a Doc to fill out the med. form.

Just talked to Sue Straymyre...KC runs today...Dave Gray ran yesterday...135+ & 150+ mph...today he's allowed to try to reach 175mph...and KC will run today also...they've had some trouble, especially on the way out...besides the hail storm and huge dents in both the truck and trailer, rotors on truck had to be replaced as well as the turbo...fortunately it's under warranty and being repaired...

Mike said that the officals said this car was one of the best constructed 1st time inspected car that they have seen , (a real tribute to Dave Grey who wore out the pages of 2 rule book's prepairing for this event !)

Just spoke to the gang of three...all good to go today...tomorrow they're cleared to run up to 200 mph...the car should top out at 218...but they'll be happy with both Dave & KC running 200...Mike's keeping the brewskis safe...started out with 8 30 packs...now only one left...

They are running better than they figured they would for the first year. I think their next outting will be a the old Maxton AFB in NC. Health permitting, I plan on going down and watch them run. I will even take Doc Q some "beast"

            197 MPH in a 56 Corvette

We just got back today from Utah. Drove straight through and missed the second hail storm in Nebraska Yesterday.
The car ran great and KC and I both got our Class B High speed license by running the 56 Corvette 197 MPH. It was quite a thrill driving a first generation Corvette at that speed. The car seemed very stable at high speed.
The next step is to run at Maxton NC in September and October on the hard surface, then we can change the gearing in the car for the Salt next year.
I will try to post some photos soon.

PS: our Chief mechanic Mike M. did not disappoint. We never ran out of
            adult fuel.
