Re: Fan Blower Speed
Dale,
If it is like 1970 cars the left (assumed off) position does not shut off the blower motor. It does close the damper to eliminate air flow. Sounds like the damper is closed in the far two left positions.- Top

Re: Fan Blower Speed
Dale you have two fuses that permit current to the blower motor. The high setting has its own separate fuse and it is not in the fuse block. It is located in the engine compartment and is in a inline fuse holder in separate wiring that will twist to unlock and remove the fuse. The other blower speeds current is through a fuse located in the fuse block. Have you verified that this fuse is good? The JM says the blower has a three speed switch for a 68 with A/C. The off is not a position, I assume, so it should have an “off - low – med – high” selection and be correct with the JM, or maybe just a off low and high. Here is my real problem, the first two positions have no air flow and only the far right position provides air flow. Also I don’t know what setting this air flow corresponds too. I guess there could be a problem in the actual switch or maybe in the fan itself and how could I trouble shoot this?

Re: Fan Blower Speed
Dale, there is also a high speed fan relay in that circuit if I remember correctly. I think the orange wire with the inline fuse terminates on that relay making it easy to find. Hope this helps Richard- Top
