Re: What are you working on right now?

This one's been in the same bodyshop where my '63 was painted for a couple of years. He only works on my stuff in between collision damage jobs but his work is good enough that it's worth the wait. It's solid black now waiting on final sand/buff. It has 572 crate motor, 6 speed (.75 overdrive in 5th and .50 in 6th) and 4:10 12 bolt with coil overs and ladder bars at rear. Going to add Vintage air. It has 13" rotors and 6 piston calipers on front and 12" and 4 piston at rear, all Wilwood stuff. Front wheels are 16 X 7 Americans and rear are 15 X 12 with drag radials. This is going to be a car to drive to any cruise or on a Power Tour type event and not panic over weather. It is supposed to be clear of paint shop by end of September and it'll probably go to the front of the line ahead of the Corvette projects, at least for now.

Edit: sorry about the picture size. I tried to downsize it on the host site but couldn't make it work.

Doing a resto on the engine bay of a 70 base coupe.I am trying to do a body on resto.
My second project also is a hair pulling experience. 1975 Kawasaki H2 750 Triple. It has alot in common with the vette. Numerous 1 and 2 year parts only. Figures I could not pick something with a 4 or 5 year parts run.

Last year 2010 my 2 younger motorhead brothers & good friend & me just finished body drop on artic blue 57 370 hp as I prefered to paint the body shell with finial shimming/fit which turned out perfect! Got rid of all my cars(eight chevys) but kept this one, KISS(keep it stupid simple).picture is with old motorhead friend who owns six corvettes & too many others to list....

Working on enjoying all of my hard work from this past winter (just restored the 62 vette) and other fun toys (did the mustang a few years ago) and figuring out what this winters project will be..

                        Mark,

Out of curiosity, I see you have the halo vinyl roof moldings laid out on your '69; but from what I can tell in the photo, it doesn't look like a vinyl roof was previously in place.

Will you be installing one as part of your project?

                        Larry

When Bubba restored it, previously, he didn't like the vinyl roof. It was originally built with a parchment vinyl top.

Thanks, Mark. It caught my eye because my first car, in 1974, was a '69 Camaro.
