    Ray,
Just saw both of your posts on this subject.
No there is no easy way to change the dash bulbs for either the speedo or the tach.
The design of the '68 - '76 dash is such that things are fairly tight on the back side.
First, if you have AC, the duct will have to be removed. The screws on dash panel will need to be removed, but before that, the center gauge panel will also need to be loosened.
And to see the bulb sockets, you will need to be on your back on the floor, preferably with an LED headband light so you can see what's there.
That works so much better than the traditional trouble light with an incandesent bulb; no more burned fingers while trying to manuver with it.

If you are big like me, it does get a bit tight to move about in that tight space. I can only reach one arm up at a time to do it.

Thanks Robert, what you are indicating is what I was afraid of would need to be done. Do you have to completely remove the dash panel that is around both of the large gauges or does it just come off when all of the screws are removed. There is also a duct at the bottom and back of that panel which I assume is part of the AC duct you mentioned that must be removed.

        Ray,
You will need to remove that duct first to see the back side of the guages. If you remove the screws on the panel, it will help to gain access to the soccets, but the speedo and tach cables will limit how far you can pull the panel forward. If the bulbs burned out are at the bottom, those will be possible to change out. If you need all to be changed, plan to take apart the whole dash as disconnecting the cables will also be necessary, along with taking out the screws to the center guage console as they are screwed to the panel as well.

To help with what is ahead for you, it would be a good idea to get an Assembly Manual and a Chey Service manual.
The exploded drawings on the Assembly Manual and the directions as to disassembly from the Service Manual will be a great help to you.
(Any Service manual from the years 1968 to 1976 will have essentially the same info needed).
