        I wonder in what way this adds real value to the car? In other words, what does this achieve that a traditional-style waterpump does not?

            "Technology bragging rights", I guess, plus a REALLY healthy gross margin item in the dealer's parts department.

                i bet if a dealer has one in stock the first BMW coming in with a heat problems is going out with it even it that was not the problem.
