Surf is Up

Drove down to Higgins Beach, a local surf and resort beach a few miles away, near Portland , ME.

The surf was up and the winds have picked up before the Hurricane that has been projected to hit the North East maybe.

Great driving weather as summer is starting to wain here in Maine

Would have been a surf board in the passenger seat 40 years ago, or at least a would be surfer girl

Have fun rest of summer

Fun??? It looks cold to me. Not only does no one have on a bathing suit, the guy in front of the car has on a coat!

The water is at the warmest so far this year at 65 degrees. To cool for you?

Me too, but I did go swimming on Monday. Most surfers have wet suits,

Jack, I guess it's just a matter of perspective, isn't it? I've seen you with the top down and snow on the ground...brrrr.

Water temps down here are about 80. Your water should get warmer after the storm goes past.

At least you can walk into the water this time of the year. If you try walking into the water in june, your feet and legs will be numb after a few minutes.

What I like best is that the car is 1/2 way covering up the NO PARKING ANYTIME that's painted on the pavement. I don't think it applies to classic Corvettes though
